Lewis & Clark National Forest and Flathead National Forest dominate this landscape, meeting along the crest of the Sawtooth Range. The high-elevation terrain is defined by the headwaters of the S Fork Two Medicine River, where numerous seasonal creeks like Red Poacher Cr and Whiterock Cr descend from peaks such as Mt Pablo and Mt Baldy. The Continental Divide National Scenic Trail winds through the southern half of the quadrangle, crossing the boundary between Glacier and Pondera Counties.
