Pictured Rocks stretches along the coast of Lake Superior in this early twenty-first-century survey of the Upper Peninsula. The landscape is defined by the overlap of the Hiawatha National Forest and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, where the Miners River flows northward through Miners Lake and over Miners Falls toward the lake. This area preserves a mix of conservation land and established settlements, including the outskirts of Munising and the community of Indian Town.
