Junipero Serra Peak stands as the dominant summit in this portion of the Santa Lucia Range, rising above the interior wilderness of the Los Padres National Forest. The landscape is defined by the deep incisions of the Arroyo Seco and its numerous tributaries, including Santa Lucia Cr and Rocky Cr. These watercourses carve through a terrain of high ridges and narrow canyons such as Woodtick Canyon and Horse Canyon.
