The S Fork Little Manatee River and its numerous tributaries, including Moody Br and Long Br, dominate this rural stretch of eastern Manatee County. The landscape is characterized by its complex hydrology and agricultural drainage patterns, with the small settlement of Keentown situated near the confluence of Peacock Br and the N Fork Little Manatee River. Local history is anchored at the Keen Cem and the distinctive terrain of Peacock Hammock, illustrating the long-standing familial ties to this interior Florida territory. While the northern portion of the sheet is defined by the winding course of the Little Manatee river system, the southern sections reveal the start of different drainage basins toward the E Fork Manatee River. A network of unpaved and secondary routes like Taylor Grade Rd and Bill Parrish Rd provides access through these wetlands and pasturelands.
