About this map

Cleveland Peninsula dominates this coastal survey, where the intricate waterways of Southeast Alaska meet the steep topography of the Tongass National Forest. Evidence of early industrial and navigational infrastructure is recorded at the northern end of Lake Mc Donald with a noted Fish Hatchery (Aban'd), and along the shores of Yes Bay, where a Lighthouse Reserve is established at Bluff Point. These sites reflect the region's historical reliance on commercial fishing and maritime passage through the deep channels of the Behm Canal and Seward Passage.
