Kinta is located at the northern edge of this quadrangle, where a regular street grid including Main St, Broadway, and King St sits just south of Kinta Lake. To the south, the landscape transitions into the steep, densely wooded ridges of the Sans Bois Mountains. This southern half of the sheet is marked by a series of high points and named hollows, including Blue Mtn, Hulsey Mtn, and Bee Bluff. Significant drainages such as the Mountain Fork and Sans Bois Creek carve through the terrain, with several tributaries like Chickasaw Cr and Beaver Cr feeding into the main water systems. Local history and genealogy interest is anchored by the Shady Grove Cem located west of the town center, while landmarks like White Rocks and Smokestack Hollow characterize the varied topography of the Haskell and Latimer County borderlands.
