Kirkland Park lies within the high-elevation terrain of Fremont County, defined by a complex network of ridges and watercourses. The landscape is dominated by the prominent mass of Crow Mtn and the extended lines of Spring Ridge, Cedar Ridge, and Bull Ridge. These geological features dictate the drainage patterns of the region, where numerous branches of Willow Cr including the N Fork Willow Cr and S Fork Willow Cr carve through the foothills.
