Agricultural tablelands and deeply incised stream valleys define the boundary between Henderson and Warren counties in western Illinois. Small rural centers like Biggsville and Media are connected by a grid of section-line roads, while the northeastern corner shows the expansion of Kirkwood near the county line. The landscape is heavily drained by several branches of Ellison Cr and the S Henderson Cr system, which carve through the terrain to create distinctive features like Jinks Hollow.
