Kittridge Springs and the surrounding high desert terrain of the Adobe Range define this portion of Elko County. The landscape is marked by a network of drainage systems including Kittridge Cr, Sherman Cr, and Eightmile Cr, which descend from high points like Sherman Peak. Local water sources were clearly vital for early settlement and ranching, evidenced by Cherry Spring, Mud Spring, and Eightmile Spring. While much of the area remains open rangeland, the southern edge of the map shows a transition toward more structured development. A street grid emerges near Kittridge Canyon, featuring residential-style naming such as Kiowa Ave and Chickasaw Ave. This 2018 survey also captures modern recreation, including the Snow Bowl Beginner and Climbing Trail, illustrating how the land has evolved from a series of remote springs and ranch roads to include recreational and residential uses.
