The Canadian River carves a wide, winding path through this central Oklahoma landscape, marking the boundary between Pottawatomie, Pontotoc, and Seminole counties. North of the river, the settlement of Sacred Heart remains a significant point of historical interest, home to the Sacred Heart Sisters Cem and Sacred Heart Cem. This area, once part of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, exhibits a transition from upland prairies to the alluvial flats of the river valley, where Mud Flat Cr and Preacher Cr drain the northern hills.

In the eastern portion of the map, the town of Konawa serves as a local hub, surrounded by a dense concentration of burial sites including Konawa Memorial Cem, Bates Cem, and Violet Springs Cem.
