Lakeview Peak towers over the headwaters of several critical drainages in this upland region of Cowlitz County. The hydrology of the area is defined by the Kalama River and its major tributaries, including the N Fork Kalama River and Langdon Cr. These waterways cut deep through the high-elevation terrain, which is punctuated by prominent summits like Butler Butte in the northwest.
