Big Sandy Creek winds through the heart of this Hill County landscape, carving a complex network of drainages across the Montana plains. The small settlement of Laredo sits positioned along the eastern edge of the quadrangle, situated near the expanse of the Laredo Flats. This area is defined by its dramatic coulees, including Antelope Coulee, Schwartz Coulee, and Dry Fork Coulee, which illustrate the erosion patterns typical of the high plains north of the Missouri River. A few isolated water bodies like Prairie Lake dot the terrain, while local routes such as S Fresno Rd and Co Rd 405 S provide the primary connections between the scattered homesteads and the township of Laredo.
