The Judith Mountains dominate the northern terrain of this quadrangle, rising toward landmarks such as Lewis Peak and Lookout Peak. This landscape is defined by the complex drainage systems that carve through the high ground, including Log Gulch and Lone Tree Gulch, which feed into various forks of Boxelder Fork and Ross Fork. To the south, the terrain transitions into a series of creek basins where Maiden Creek and Fords Creek weave through the lower elevations.
