San Antonio Mountains rise sharply in the eastern portion of this Nye County landscape, overlooking the broad expanse of the Big Smoky Valley to the west. This 2014 survey captures a high-desert environment defined by extreme topographical shifts, where the steep slopes of the range transition into the basin floor. The namesake Liberty Springs is situated within the mountain folds, a critical water source in an otherwise arid corridor. To the south, the Crescent Dunes mark a distinct shifting geomorphology at the edge of the valley floor. The map is primarily organized by township and range lines, including t6n r42e, illustrating the vast, unpopulated character of the Nevada interior where natural landmarks serve as the primary navigational anchors.
