The Ossipee River and Saco River converge at the heart of this York County landscape, defining the boundaries between Limington, Standish, and Hollis. By the early 1980s, the southern portion of the quadrangle shows the significant residential development of Lake Arrowhead Estates bordering the waters of Lake Arrowhead. This modern growth contrasts with the established rural clusters of North Limington, South Limington, and East Limington.
