Petrified Forest National Park occupies the eastern half of this high-desert landscape in Navajo County, characterized by a complex network of ephemeral drainages and livestock tanks. Central to the geography is the Little Lithodendron Wash, which feeds into the larger Lithodendron Wash to the south. The terrain is punctuated by Lime Mtn in the north, while the southern reaches are marked by the convergent flows of W Twin Wash and E Twin Wash.
