Lonerock sits at the northern end of this landscape where Lone Rock Cr meets Robinette Cr. The terrain is defined by a series of deep drainage systems and prominent rises, such as Boone Canyon and Oxhead Ridge. Much of the southern territory is protected within the Umatilla National Forest, showing a transition from the lower creek basins to more elevated timberland and ridges.
