The Castle Mountains dominate this landscape within the Lewis & Clark National Forest, where high-elevation summits and a network of drainages define the Montana wilderness. Central to the sheet is Manger Park, a significant topographic feature surrounded by prominent peaks including Beartrap Peak, Woodchuck Mtn, and Wapiti Peak. These summits form a critical divide for numerous water sources, such as Agate Creek and Warm Springs Creek, which feed into the South Fork Smith River in the southern reaches of the quadrangle.
