Marion Forks serves as the primary outpost in this high-country survey of the Willamette National Forest, positioned at the confluence of the North Santiam River and Marion Creek. The landscape is defined by its administrative and recreational infrastructure, featuring a State Fish Hatchery, a F S Station, and the Marion Forks Campground along Highway 22. To the east, the terrain rises sharply into the Mt Jefferson Wilderness, a high-elevation environment marked by numerous glacial lakes including Presley Lake, Turpentine Lake, and Lulu Lake.
