The city of Marquette and its immediate surroundings on the shores of Lake Superior are meticulously documented in this 2019 survey. The map shows the dense urban grid of the city, centered on the Marquette County Courthouse and extending north through the campus of Northern Michigan University. The shoreline is a central theme, ranging from the developed industrial and harbor areas near Marquette Bay and Ripley Rock to the prominent natural landmark of Presque Isle at the northern end of the city.
