Mexican Hill and the surrounding high-country terrain of the Bighorn National Forest dominate this 2015 study of the Sheridan and Big Horn county line. This high-elevation landscape is defined by its dramatic drainage systems, most notably the Bucking Mule Falls where Bucking Mule Cr drops through the central portion of the quadrangle. The map reveals a remote network of drainages and peaks, including the prominent Sheep Mtn to the east and the deep depression of Cookstove Basin to the north.
