The eastern edges of Columbia meet the sprawling woodlands of the Mark Twain National Forest in this 2017 survey of the Missouri landscape. This area, straddling the Boone Co Callaway Co line, is defined by the winding course of Cedar Creek and its many tributaries, including Little Cedar Creek and Sally Br. The topography shows a transition from the urban developments of Columbia in the west toward more rural settlements like Harg, Shaw, and Millersburg.
