Montezumas Chair dominates the northeastern landscape of this Navajo County quadrangle, rising as a prominent landform above the surrounding high desert. The area is defined by a network of drainage systems, most notably the winding Jeddito Wash which cuts through the western sections of the map, and the smaller Tees-Toh Wash to the north. These ephemeral watercourses are vital features of the arid terrain, leading toward reliable water sources like Honey Spring in the far northeast corner.
