Moose Mountain dominates the central landscape of this wilderness area within the Clearwater National Forest in northern Idaho. The North Fork Clearwater River cuts through the northern section of the map, carving the deep Black Canyon and receiving numerous tributaries including Hidden Cr and Fix Cr. High-elevation landmarks define the surrounding terrain, notably the sharp profile of Elizabeth Mtn and the uniquely named Elizabeths Finger to the west.
