Mormon Gap serves as a critical geographic passage between the Burbank Hills and the northern reaches of the Mountain Home Range in western Millard County. This high-altitude basin landscape is defined by its drainage patterns and water management, centered on the Mormon Gap Reservoir. To the west, the terrain opens into a distinctive natural depression known as The Cove, while the eastern portion of the sheet transitions into the broad expanse of Antelope Valley. Modern infrastructure is represented by rural connectors such as S 34600 West St and the aptly named Cowboy Rd, reflecting the region's continued use for livestock and transit through the Great Basin's basin-and-range topography.
