About this map

The Mosser Dome Oil Field defines the industrial footprint of this high-plains landscape during the mid-1960s, situated near the intersection of the Yellowstone Co Carbon Co line. The terrain is deeply incised by a network of drainages, most notably Duck Creek, Davis Creek, and Little Cottonwood Creek, which provide vital water sources in this arid region as evidenced by numerous mapped Springs. These watercourses carve through the topography, leading down toward the southern boundary where the Crow Indian Res Bdy is clearly demarcated.
