North Cascades National Park and three adjacent national forests converge at this high-altitude junction of Skagit, Okanogan, and Chelan counties. The high-relief terrain is anchored by Mt Arriva and Fisher Peak, with the Mesahchie Glacier persisting on the northern slopes of Ragged Ridge. This 2020 survey illustrates a landscape defined by glacial activity and drainage patterns, where the Methow River and Granite Cr collect runoff from numerous alpine basins.
