Mt Arriva and the soaring peaks of the North Cascades define this high-elevation landscape where the Stephen-Mather Wilderness meets the Mount Baker National Forest. This 2023 survey documents a terrain of extreme relief, including Ragged Ridge and the Mesahchie Glacier. The drainage patterns are clearly marked, with Granite Creek flowing through the central valley and Fisher Creek winding through the western portion of the quadrangle.

High-altitude trails such as the Easy Pass Trl and the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trl provide the only human-engineered access through the pass systems, including Easy Pass and Heather Pass.
