Deschutes National Forest encompasses this section of the Cascade Range, dominated by the prominent volcanic peak of Mt Bachelor. This 2017 survey details the complex network of winter-use routes and forest roads that crisscross the high-elevation terrain. Beyond the main summit, the landscape is defined by a series of cinder cones and secondary peaks, including Tumalo Mtn and Sheridan Mtn, which reveal the volcanic history of the region.
