San Antonio Heights marks the transition from the suburban residential grid into the steep elevations of the San Gabriel Mountains. This 2012 survey documents the interface between the expanding community north of Kenwood St and the protected lands of the Angeles National Forest. Further north, the settlement of Mount Baldy serves as a gateway to high-altitude landmarks, situated near the Mount Baldy Forest Service Facility and the deep drainage of Icehouse Canyon.
