Eddyville sits along the northern shore of Coeur d'Alene Lake, serving as a focal point for this mountain and lake landscape. The terrain is defined by the steep rises of the Coeur d'Alene National Forest, where numerous peaks like Mt Coeur d'Alene and Turner Peak provide significant elevation over the bays. The shoreline is carved into distinct inlets, including Beauty Bay, Moscow Bay, and Wolf Lodge Bay, which are supported by recreation and management infrastructure such as the Mineral Ridge Boat Ramp and Beauty Creek Campground. This 2013 survey illustrates the complex drainage network feeding the lake, with Beauty Creek and Caribou Creek cutting through the ridges. High-altitude management is evident at the Mt Coeur d'Alene Lookout and the Patrol Lookout near Hageman Draw, while the southern reaches of the map transition toward Blue Lake and Swan Peak.
