Mount Evans and Mt Howe dominate this high-elevation landscape along the Continental Divide, where the boundaries of the Deerlodge National Forest and Beaverhead National Forest meet. The terrain is defined by a dense network of alpine water systems, including the Fourmile Basin Lakes and Tenmile Lakes. These glacial features feed numerous drainages such as Storm Lake Cr and Tenmile Cr, illustrating the complex hydrology of the southwestern Montana highlands.
