Snoqualmie National Forest dominates this section of the Cascade Range, defined by its high-elevation hydrography and dramatic ridgelines. The northern portion of the quadrangle is anchored by the Sultan Basin and the expansive waters of Spada Lake, which serves as a central collecting point for the Williamson Cr and the Sultan River. The landscape is a network of steep drainages, where multiple forks of the S Fork Sultan River descend from peaks like Mount Stickney and Prospect Peak.
