Mulkey Bar and the surrounding high-altitude terrain define this landscape at the intersection of Custer, Lemhi, and Butte Counties. The area is dominated by the hydrology of the Little Lost River, which flows through the Little Lost River Valley in the eastern portion of the quadrangle. High-country drainage systems including Summit Cr, Wet Cr, and Bell Mountain Cr carve through the foothills of the Challis National Forest.
