Paradox Valley characterizes the northern reaches of this Colorado landscape, where E Paradox Cr and Paradox Cr descend from the surrounding high ground. The terrain is defined by dramatic elevation shifts, anchored by Monogram Mesa in the west and the sharp profile of Sawtooth Ridge to the northeast. To the south, the land opens into the Dry Creek Basin, a broad depression drained by Dry Cr and the W Fork Dry Cr.
