Petrified Forest National Park dominates the western half of this landscape, where the meandering course of the Puerco River carves through the high desert. The 2014 survey documents the established transportation corridors of Apache County, notably where the historic path of Road 66 and the Crazy Creek Bridge cross the drainage of Crazy Cr near the settlement of Navajo.
