Shoshone National Forest dominates this high-elevation landscape within the Absaroka Range of Park County. The terrain is defined by massive peaks and ridges, most notably Needle Mtn and Crater Mtn, which serve as anchors for a complex drainage system. These heights give rise to numerous waterways including Boulder Cr, Eleanor Cr, and several forks of Anderson Cr.
