The agricultural plains of Montgomery County are defined by a network of drainage ways and townships including Raymond, Roundtree, and Irving. In the late 1970s, this landscape transitioned from purely rural farm tracts to a region supporting modern infrastructure, as evidenced by the Janssen Landing Strip and the large Hillsboro Gas Storage Area situated in the southern sections.
