Hoskin Basin centers this portion of the Yellowstone County landscape, where the headwaters of several drainages meet. The area is defined by the convergence of the North Fork Crooked Creek and South Fork Crooked Creek, which join to form Crooked Creek in the southern sections. To the north, the terrain transitions into the Razor Creek watershed, featuring West Razor Creek and East Fork Razor Creek.
