1954 Map of O'Fallon

About this map

The growing town of O'Fallon sits at the center of this Missouri landscape, where the Norfolk and Western railroad and the C B & Q lines cross the rolling hills between the Cuivre and Dardenne districts. To the east, the settlement of St Peters borders the winding path of Dardenne Creek, while the village of St Paul lies to the northwest. This 1954 survey, updated with 1968 aerial photography, captures the suburban expansion of St. Charles County as residential subdivisions begin to appear near Port Zumwalt State Park. Local landmarks like St Marys Institute and Ft Zumwalt Sch provide clear anchor points for genealogical research. The northern portion of the map is defined by a series of wetlands and lakes, including Pallardy Lake and Grassy Lake, protected by an extensive system of Levees along the floodplains of Peruque Creek.
