Ojo Encino sits at the heart of this high-desert landscape, where the administrative boundaries of Sandoval and McKinley Counties intersect. The terrain is defined by a series of prominent mesas and ridges, including Cejita Blanca Ridge in the northwest and the expansive Ojo Encino Mesa toward the center. These landforms are etched by a complex drainage system of arroyos and washes, most notably the meandering Torreon Wash and Encino Wash, which illustrate the seasonal water patterns typical of the Eastern Navajo Agency.
