Ashley National Forest dominates this high-elevation landscape, where the Lake Fork River and Oweep Creek have carved deep drainage patterns through the terrain. The central hydrology is defined by numerous glacial-era water bodies, including Cleveland Lake, Stewart Lake, and E Slide Lake. Travel through this backcountry is marked by the Uinta Highline trail, which traverses the northern reaches of the quadrangle, and the Brown Duck trail leading into the southern basins.
