Ashley National Forest and the High Uintas Wilderness define this high-elevation landscape in Duchesne County. The area is characterized by a complex network of alpine glacial features, including the broad Ottoson Basin and Brown Duck Basin. Water from the high ridges drains through the Lake Fork River and Oweep Creek, fed by numerous high-altitude water bodies such as Cleveland Lake, Picture Lake, and Stewart Lake.
