Shoshone National Forest dominates this mountain landscape, which is defined by the high elevations of Pat O'Hara Mtn and Pat O'Hara Peak. The 2017 terrain exhibits a complex network of drainages and canyons, including the steep-walled Oxyoke Canyon and the notable Natural Corral formation. Transport through this portion of Park County is limited to a few established corridors, most notably Crandall Rd and the winding Dead Indian Hill Rd.
