The community of Patton and its neighboring settlements of North Patton and Patton Junction anchor the southeastern corner of this Missouri landscape, where local life follows the drainages of Upper Whitewater Cr and Little Whitewater Cr. Further north, the hamlet of Yount sits near the Perry and Bollinger County line, surrounded by a network of drainage basins including Conrad Cr and Neece Br. This area shows a transition from agricultural valley floors to the protected woodlands of the Mark Twain National Forest in the southwest corner.
