Peplin sits at the heart of this central Wisconsin landscape, characterized by a series of south-flowing waterways including Johnson Cr and the multi-branched Peplin Cr. The settlement patterns in Kronenwetter show a mixture of established rural road networks and newer residential developments, particularly in the northwest near Cedar Cr. Small-scale aviation is a distinct local feature, with both Bender's Airport and Jaks Field Airport serving the area. The hydrology is dominated by the winding paths of Bull Junior Cr and Sampson Cr, which navigate the relatively level terrain. This 2013 survey provides a clear view of the transition between the dense street grids appearing near Shorey Ave and the more traditional woodland and agricultural tracts to the south.
