Pine Spring and its eponymous creek anchor this 2015 survey of the Harding County rangeland, where a network of ephemeral watercourses and scattered springs defines the high plains landscape. The terrain is marked by distinctive geological features like The Jumpoff and the Jumpoff Divide, which create a sharp break in the elevation and drainage patterns of the region. These landforms separate the north-flowing waters of Antelope Cr and Buffalo Springs Cr from the southern draws.
