Porcupine Coulee and several other significant drainage systems define the topographical character of this Phillips County landscape. The area is a network of named coulees, including Rattlesnake Coulee and Prestige Coulee, which cut through the high plains terrain. A sparse but vital system of rural routes, such as Frenchman Dam Rd and Turkey Track Rd, provides the primary access across the township and range divisions.
