Punta de Agua Cr carves a winding path through this corner of the Texas Panhandle, defining the drainage patterns of the high plains north of the Canadian River valley. The landscape of Hartley County here is primarily characterized by its ranching heritage and topography, with Sand Cr and Moneto Cr providing critical water courses through the rolling breaks. Aside from the primary transit of FM 767, which cuts across the central portion of the sheet, the area remains dedicated to large-scale land management. This 2022 survey captures the contemporary state of the Proctor Ranch region, illustrating the intersection of modern state roads and the natural hydrology of the Llano Estacado.
