The Seven Devils Mountains dominate this high-elevation Idaho landscape, where the Payette National Forest and Hells Canyon Wilderness protect a network of glacial basins and alpine lakes. A complex series of ridges and summits, including Monument Peak, Casey Mtn, and Smith Mtn, creates a high-altitude divide between numerous water systems. This drainage network is anchored by the Rapid Wild and Scenic River and several major forks of Granite Creek.
